This program is tailored for kids who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. From games and activities to exciting projects, there’s something to spark every child’s imagination.Discovery 1/2 Day Program with RPS (Residents Only)This summer program is a collaboration between the Recreation Department and the RPS Discovery 1/2-day program. Students must attend all the sessions at RPS to attend our Discovery program. Discovery campers will be able to join the summer full-day camp for half a day Monday through Thursday and on Fridays, the students will attend the full-day camp from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (parents will have to do camp drop-off and pick-up on Fridays). Students must attend all the sessions at RPS to attend our Discovery program. Discovery campers will be able to join the summer full-day camp for half a day Monday through Thursday and on Fridays, the students will attend the full-day camp from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (parents will have to do camp drop-off and pick-up on Fridays). The Recreation Department and RPS will facilitate students getting from school to camp Monday through Thursday. Junior Leadership ProgramOur leader-in-training (entering grades 8-9) is designed to help our teen campers develop important leadership skills. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in training, support camp activities, and work closely with our counselors. Don’t miss out on a summer of growth, discovery, and new friendships! Vovinam Marital Arts - Vovinam Martial Arts A Vietnamese martial art that teaches Self-defense techniques cover defense against weapon less attacks like choking from behind and defense against attackers armed with knives or swords. Advanced students learn to combine the techniques and defend themselves against armed opponents. Instructors teach traditional weapons like the long stick, short stick, knife, sword and sabre.
